Christian Catano

Christian Catano graduated from San Jose State University with a B.S. and M.S. degree in biomedical engineering, and is conducting research under Beth Pruitt and Ryan Stowers in the Bioengineering department. His work studies the downstream mechanotransduction pathways of viscoelasticity on human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes to elucidate its role in disease progression. Outside of the lab, Christian enjoys playing/watching soccer, listening to music, and reading.
