Dixon Atkins

Dixon is studying how the mechanical environment affects the development of a more aggressive disease state in pancreatic cancer. Using PDAC cell lines and a mechanically-tunable 3D microgel environment coupled with high-throughput sequencing, his project seeks to understand how mechanical stiffening in PDAC results in genome rearrangement and changes in transcription.
